Utilization of Special Functions of 1. Copier
1The use of automatic document feeder
The use of automatic document feeder can improve the copying efficiency and avoid the trouble of lifting the cover plate of the manuscript table every time the manuscript is put. When in use, first press the automatic delivery button, the indicator light will be on, and the original will be placed on the feed table. The automatic document feeder will put the original page by page. Once the original is set, the machine automatically starts copying.
Another function of the automatic document feeder is to automatically start copying after the machine is warmed up. The method is to set up various items in the preheating process, such as carton selection, concentration adjustment, enlargement or reduction, etc., and then put the original on the feed table according to the above requirements, and the machine will automatically start copying after preheating.
It should be noted that curled, wrinkled, and folded originals, originals with staples, paper clips, adhesive tape or paste, blackened originals on the back, stuck together or bound originals, and overwritten originals cannot be automatically fed.
However, the use of some special copying techniques, can still automatically send people thin or not very flat original. The method is to open the left-hand manuscript rotary box and carry out semi-automatic manuscript feeding and copying when feeding one page of the manuscript that is easy to be annotated, I .e. sending the manuscript with the right hand and taking over the printed manuscript with the left hand, so that the manuscript will hardly get stuck.
When the original is stuck, it is also necessary to open the rotary cover and pull it out gently. Generally, it is easier to take it out from the side in contact with the glass. If it is difficult to remove, remove the pressure plate holding the original and remove the original. After the manuscript is taken out, if the card signal light is still on, it is usually that the manuscript has been placed on the feed table. Pull the manuscript out of this page and the signal can be eliminated. The original page after the jammed original cannot be copied due to the occurrence of the paper jam signal. It needs to be taken out and placed on the feed table again for copying.
When using semi-automatic document feeder to copy double-sided original without overprinting double-sided copy, the side with large page number number of each original page shall be printed first. When this original page arrives at the manuscript table from the machine, it shall be placed on the manuscript table and the other side shall be copied. For example, print page 1 first, then page 3. At this time, the automatic manuscript delivery function cannot be used.
2. The use of automatic pager
When sorting with the automatic page splitter, you must copy from the last page of the original. The pager is generally 15 cells, which can divide the copies into 15 copies. When the copies exceed 15 copies, 15 copies must be made first, and then the remaining copies must be made.
When using the automatic pager, the paper in the paper box should have the convex surface facing upward, so as not to insert the copy into the paging grid by mistake (that is, the page printed later is inserted between the members who copied first, thus messing up the order). Each page can hold about 30 copies, which is prone to paper jams. Therefore, if there are too many copies, they should be taken out during the copying process, put them away separately, and then stack the two parts together for binding.
When the automatic document feeder and the pager are used at the same time, care should be taken to prevent the original from skewing and causing defects in the copied products, so that the residual products are caught in the copied products and are difficult to find. Therefore, you should always pay attention to the top copy of the page in the process of copying. As long as this page is in good condition, the following multi-layer copy should be good.
When the automatic (semi-automatic) document feeder and the automatic pager are used at the same time, if the original size is uneven and the number of copies is more than the number of pages, the remaining copies of the pager can be printed first. If 20 copies are needed and the pager can only be divided into 15 copies, then 5 copies should be printed first. When copying these 5 copies, the originals of different sizes can be enlarged or reduced to one size of copy paper. Take one of them as the remaining 15 originals for the second copy. At this time, an automatic (semi-automatic) document feeder can be used, and only the original copy is required. However, the size of the original for the first copy is different and there is trouble of enlargement and reduction, so the document feeder cannot be used for fast copying.
When making multiple copies of multi-page originals with different tones, you can also make multiple copies of the remaining uniform tones first, and then make multiple copies of the original with the copies, which can avoid the trouble of repeatedly adjusting the development density.
The use of automatic pager also need to pay attention to the selection of good finish, the size of the appropriate copy paper, and should be before copying the paper in the paper box to fully shake, knock all. Otherwise, once the two sheets of paper are stuck together due to electrostatic attraction, copy defects or paper jams will occur, causing paging errors.
3Selection of large capacity for carton
Some high-speed copiers may choose to supply cartons with a capacity of 1500 to one 2000 sheets of paper. This carton is attached to the right side of the machine and feeds paper from the lower paper feed tray. A single power supply is required for the carton supply. Before use, the selector knob should be set to meet the requirements of different paper sizes. Turn on the power switch, the indicator light will be on, and the indicator light will flash when there is no paper.
When it is necessary to change the size of copy paper, pull out the carton to the right, open the carton cover and upper cover to loosen the plastic knob, lift the partition, adjust the selector knob to the number position of the selected paper size, and finally close the carton cover and push the carton to the host. If the indicator light still flashes after adding paper, it means that the copy paper is not placed properly or the carton is not tightly closed, and copying cannot be carried out at this time.
4. The use of automatic copy function
Some copiers can automatically start copying after preheating after placing the original on the feed tray. Some machines also have this function. When preheating, place a piece of copy paper on the feed tray and copy automatically after preheating. Some machines are operating and the board is equipped with a "Standby" button and an indicator light. Press this button when starting up and preheating, the indicator light is on. When there is paper in the carton, after preheating, the machine will run automatically. If the number of copies is set, it can also be used.
5. Use of Insert Copy and Stop keys
In the vast majority of copiers are equipped with these two keys, but can be used correctly by the user is not much. The insert copy key is also called the pause key. It is used to interrupt multiple documents being copied and temporarily add a more urgent document. Press this key during copying, the machine will stop copying immediately, and the number of copies will be displayed as "l". If you reset a copy value, you can copy urgently needed documents. After copying, the machine will return to the original display state when it was interrupted, and you can continue to make multiple copies. If you press the wrong copy key, press the stop key to restore the number of copies before interruption.
The stop key is mainly used when the required number of copies is reached or when unexpected phenomena such as improper placement of originals are found. Press this key and the machine stops running, the number of copies returns to "1", and it needs to be reset when copying again. Some minicomputers have the stop key and the copy count clear key as one key with the same function.
2. Copying Skills
Copying is a highly technical work, technical proficiency can not only improve work efficiency, but also save paper, reduce waste, and ensure the normal operation of the machine. Here to introduce some of the copying skills that should be mastered.
1. Appropriate amount of exposure
In the process of copying, you will encounter manuscripts with different shades of color, and some manuscripts are mixed with different shades of handwriting, such as ballpoint pens and pencil instructions on lead prints. In this case, you should take lighter handwriting as a condition to reduce the exposure to make it appear. The specific method is to increase the development concentration and adjust the concentration to the deeper end; for the original standard with small contrast and deep tone such as photos and pictures, the development concentration should be reduced and the concentration should be adjusted to the lighter side. If the copy quality is still unsatisfactory, the exposure can be increased by pulling out the exposure narrow slit plate (some are located on the charging electrode, some are separately installed near the photosensitive drum) to widen the slit or increase the exposure voltage to lighten the image.
2. Double-sided copying
Some high-end copiers only have the function of automatically copying both sides, while the vast majority of machines still need to reload the copy into the paper box and print the second side to copy both sides. There are many uses for double-sided copying techniques, such as advertisements, tapes, etc., manuals, business cards, forms, and documents with too many pages that need to be reduced in thickness. This not only saves half of the paper, but also reduces the space occupied by the document and makes it easy to bind. Before overprinting double-sided. Should make the copy paper room fully into the air, to prevent double sheet phenomenon. Print odd-numbered pages first, and then, depending on the type of machine used, load the copy into the paper tray and copy one side of the even-numbered pages. Some machines should adjust the upper and lower ends of the first copy unchanged, with the text face down, put it into the paper box, and then copy the second side. Others can be loaded into the paper box intact. The former is a straight-line paper feeding model, while the latter is a curved paper feeding model with the paper inlet and the paper outlet on the same side of the machine. Another point to note is that the use of optical fiber moment anti-lens machine, the original is put, copy is also positive, while the use of lens machine, the original is put. The photocopies are reversed, I .e. upside down. Especially when copying small sheets of double-sided copy (not copy paper size), the machine with lens is difficult to operate. It is better to make the original copy in the middle of the copy grade size when copying the first side and the middle when printing the second side. However, errors may occur on both sides of this approach. Another method is to put the right end of the upper part of the manuscript table when printing the first manuscript, and the left end of the upper part when printing the second manuscript, while the upper and lower ends of the copy paper do not move, but put the handwriting down into the paper. When overprinting multi-page double-sided documents, double-sided documents may occur, causing the page number to be set incorrectly. You should always pay attention to check whether the page number on the second side is correct. If it is not correct, you should stop the machine, look at the remaining copies to be overprinted in the carton, continue printing, and then print the wrong pages.
3. Application of occlusion method
Copying work often encounters stains on the original, needs to copy parts of the original, and removes the shadow of the original. It is necessary to use shielding techniques to remove unnecessary traces. The easiest way is to cover these parts with a piece of white paper and then copy them on the manuscript table to remove them. When copying thick originals such as books, a shadow is often left on the copy, which can also be eliminated by blocking. The method is to pad a piece of white paper under a page to be printed to eliminate the shadow on the edge of the book. If you want to remove the shadow between the two pages, you can cover a piece of white paper on the page that is not printed temporarily, and make the edge reach the edge of printing a page of handwriting.
4. Production of reverse copies
In the design and drawing work, it is sometimes necessary to draw exactly the same reverse image according to a certain pattern. It is more convenient to use a photocopier to do it. The method is: Take a copy paper and a copy paper (transparent thin paper) larger than the pattern, coat the edge of the thin paper with glue, and bond with the copy paper, and copy after drying. When copying, the copy paper should face up, tear it off after printing, put the-side of the desired reverse pattern (I .e. the back of the copy) down on the platen glass, and then copy to obtain exactly the same reverse pattern. Copying paper can also be replaced by drawing sulfuric acid paper or transparent polyester film.
5. Production of teaching slides
The photocopier can copy any text or chart on a transparent polyester film for teaching projection. The specific method is to put the original, adjust the development concentration, and use the manual paper feed tray to feed the polyester film. If the film is easy to jam, you can line a copy paper under it. The end that enters the machine first is glued with transparent adhesive tape. The film that has been transferred and the image is normally stuck in the machine can be opened to send it to the fuser, and then rotate the fuser roller discharge button to pass through the fuser and be fixed and discharged. If the film is damaged by poor transfer toner image, you can take it out and wipe the toner with a damp cloth, and it can still be used after drying. In addition, the copier can also be used to make business cards, retrieval cards, etc., the operation method is similar to the above-mentioned double-sided copying, no longer described. Under the premise of mastering the performance of the copier and not damaging the machine, it can also copy text images on other materials (such as cloth).
6. The method of deepening concentration to avoid dirt
For originals with images on both sides, the easiest way to clear the images during copying without revealing the images on the back and making the copies dirty is to pad a piece of black paper on the back of the originals to be copied. When there is no black paper, you can open the cover plate of the copy machine, make a copy, and print out uniform black paper, which can be used for backing. This method is often used in the production of various drawings, because the lines on the drawings should be concentrated, and the blank part must be clean.
Problems needing attention in 3. operation
Electrostatic copier is a kind of consumable equipment. With the extension of working time of the machine, all parts will have a certain degree of wear, aging and failure. Therefore, the operator is required to have a general understanding of the principle, performance and structure of the machine, especially to learn how to eliminate some minor faults that often occur, otherwise it is not competent for this work. It is emphasized here that when some kind of failure occurs during the copying process, it must not be done hastily, and it can be disposed of only after the cause is clarified. The most common problem is paper jam. Some machines need to open the door (cut off the power supply) to eliminate the paper jam, press the reset button, and close the door to continue copying. For some mainframes, it is still necessary to preheat the 1. for 2 minutes after removing the paper jam. Usually, as long as the machine has a paper picking action, and for some reason, the paper is not picked out of the paper box and entered the paper path. Due to the time detection of the timing controller, the paper is not in place or does not pass through several detection sensors on the paper path, and the machine is considered to be jammed and the paper jam signal occurs. At this time also need to open the door (power off), and repeat the above action. If this phenomenon occurs repeatedly, users will inevitably be impatient. Many people will wrestle and beat, close the door and other actions are very heavy, resulting in new failures of the machine, such as door damage, poor contact of the door micro switch, damage to other vulnerable parts, instability of the machine, etc. Therefore, in the case of the machine is not good, the cause of the failure should be carefully checked, the worn parts should be replaced in time, or the maintenance personnel should be repaired to ensure the normal operation of the machine.
