There are many problems in the daily use of photocopiers. According to the experience of using the copier, in fact, a large part of it is caused by the user's selection of consumables and basic usage methods. If you can use the copier correctly and master some tricks, you can get rid of these problems. The following lists the most common problems collected in the daily use of the copier, and the corresponding solutions or elimination methods.
1. Jam
The phenomenon of "paper jam" is the most common problem in our daily use of photocopiers. Due to the working principle of the copier and its mechanical structure, the phenomenon of "paper jam" is also inevitable. If the phenomenon of "paper jam" occurs accidentally, it is not a fault. If the phenomenon of "paper jam" is more frequent, it needs to be overhauled. First of all, it is necessary to find out which part of the transmission paper jam, if the entire transmission mechanism without any obvious damage to any parts, there is no obstruction (such as: paper scraps), but frequent jams, then it is necessary to check well.
1Paper jam at paper feeding part
First, check whether the copy paper used is up to standard (e. g. paper weight, size, dryness). If the carton is irregular, it will also cause paper jams. We can put only a few sheets of paper in the paper box, and then turn on the machine to move the paper. If the paper cannot be rolled or not in place, it can be determined that the paper roll or the paper roll clutch is a problem. If the pickup is in place, but the paper cannot continue to move forward, it is estimated that the alignment roller slips or the alignment clutch fails. For some models, the paper twisting is skewed, which may be caused by the unequal clamping force on both sides of the carton. In addition, when the user puts the copy paper into the carton, it is not put in place, causing several sheets of paper in the carton to break away from the claw, which will inevitably cause paper jam.
2Paper jam at paper feeding position
If paper jams often occur in this area, you should use the door switch press plate tool to carefully observe the operation of this area. After excluding the factors of the conveyor belt and the guide wheel, the separation mechanism should be checked. Due to different types of copiers, the separation methods are different, there are roughly three ways of negative pressure separation, separation belt separation, and charge separation.
3Paper jam at fixing part
This part of the paper jam phenomenon, the most common is the fixing roller serious scaling. When the separation claw of the fixing roller is used for a long time, its tip is blunt or the small spring fails due to fatigue, which will also cause paper jam. For some models, the paper feed roller at the paper outlet will frequently jam after long-term use and severe wear. If it is due to the problem of the sensor, the paper jam can be divided into two situations: one is that the sensor does detect the paper jam, and the other is that the sensor works abnormally.
The main reasons why the sensor frequently detects paper jam are as follows:
a.The paper feeding rubber belt is aged and loose, and the copy paper head does not reach the detection sensor at the specified time.
b.The negative pressure fan under the paper belt does not rotate, and the copy paper fails to stick to the conveyor belt during transportation, resulting in frequent paper jams during continuous copying.
c.There are powder scabs on the fuser paper guide plate, which hinder the passage of copy paper.
d.After servicing the fuser, the installation height of the paper guide is not appropriate.
e.One of the hot roller separation claws is broken and worn (plastic claws) or deformed due to improper method of eliminating paper jam (metal sheet claws).
Dust, copy paper scraps, toner dust, and oil may cause the paper discharge detection sensor located near the hot roller to work abnormally. But the ear ball blowing generally can make the sensor work properly. If it is invalid, try to disconnect the paper jam detection circuit. If there is still paper jam, the paper discharge detection sensor can be eliminated. If there is no paper jam, there is a problem with the paper discharge detection sensor. However, since the paper jam detection sensors are mostly photoelectric switches or micro switches, the possibility of damage is relatively small.
If a "paper jam" occurs, be sure to pull the allowed parts according to the instructions on the copier manual when removing the paper jam. Take out the whole paper as much as possible at one time, and be careful not to leave broken pieces of paper or paper scraps in the body. Do not touch the drum to avoid scratching the drum. If you are sure that all the "paper jam" has been cleared, but the "paper jam" signal is still not lost, you can close the front cover again, or switch the machine on and off.
Although the phenomenon of copier "paper jam" has the above factors caused by the failure of the components of the machine itself, it is also caused by the copying environment and human factors. The following points will help prevent and reduce the phenomenon of "paper jam.
1Regular maintenance: Comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of the copier is the most effective preventive method to ensure the copying effect and reduce "paper jam.
2Select the paper box: try to use the paper closer to the photosensitive drum, so the copy process is shorter, of course, the less the chance of "paper jam. Moreover, the general copier is equipped with multiple cartons, and it is recommended to use the cartons evenly, because if the two cartons are next to each other, rotating use can avoid excessive wear of the pickup system of one paper path.
3Choose a good copy paper: The quality of the copy paper plays a vital role in the paper jam rate of the copier and the service life of the copier.
4Copy paper should be moisture-proof and anti-static: damp paper will deform after being heated in the copier, causing "paper jam" or "wrinkle", which is more serious when copying on both sides. It is recommended to put the copy paper into the drying box dedicated to the copier. Moreover, the weather in autumn and winter is relatively dry, which is prone to static electricity. Copy paper often sticks together two or three sheets, causing "paper jam".
5Reduce paper hair: shake the paper loose on a clean desktop and then rub it neatly to reduce paper hair.
6Self-cleaning: If the "paper jam" phenomenon that copy paper cannot be rubbed often occurs, you can wipe the paper rubbing wheel with a piece of absorbent cotton.
7Edge elimination: when copying originals with dark background color, the copies are often fan-like stuck at the paper outlet of the copier. Using the edge elimination function of the copier can reduce the probability of "paper jam.
2. copy is wrinkled
This is due to the copy paper caused by moisture, because the copier in the copying process, the body temperature will rise, resulting in the copy paper in the fixing process to produce wrinkles. At this time, you must dry the copy paper or replace it with a new package of copy paper. It is recommended that your remaining copy paper be placed in a special drying box for the photocopier so that the copy paper will not be damp.
3. copy without image (all white)
In case of such failure, regular inspection should be made first to check whether the electrode wire rack and toner bin are installed, and then check whether the electric wire is broken, whether the plastic parts are broken, whether the photosensitive drum rotates, the brightness of the scanning lamp, etc.
If the transfer separation electrode wire leaks during the operation of the copier, the toner cannot be transferred from the photosensitive drum to the copy paper, thus causing the copy to be all white. If the problem cannot be solved after half an hour of preheating, then you should send the copier for repair.
After the above factors are eliminated, then open the front cover, with the switch plate will switch on the door switch, so that the copier is in a normal state of power. Put the original on the glass plate, turn on the paper, when the paper is transported under the photosensitive drum, turn off the machine, remove the photosensitive drum, and check whether there is an image on the photosensitive drum. If there is an image, it means that the problem lies in the transfer part, and if there is no image, it means that the problem lies in the main charger part and the developing part.
If the developing part fails, there are two main reasons. 1, the development roller drive clutch failure, the development roller can not rotate, may also be due to improper adjustment, resulting in the gap between the scraper and the development roller is too small, resulting in the clutch can not drive the development roller rotation. 2. For some types of copiers, the developer is pressed against the photosensitive drum by the locking lever (keeping a certain gap). As the operator rotates the locking lever too fast and too hard, the locking lever is distorted and cannot lock the developer. The gap between the developing roller and the photosensitive drum is too large, and the toner cannot jump to the photosensitive drum, thus blank copying occurs.
4. copies of thin black lines in the same direction
There are many reasons for this problem. If the toner cartridge has been used for a long time, it is very likely that the toner cartridge has worn marks. Please take out the toner cartridge and view the surface of the toner cartridge with reflective light to see it clearly.
If there is a fine scar on the cutting edge of the cleaning blade, the cleaning blade may not remove the residual toner on the photosensitive drum after the transfer. At this time, please take out the cleaner, remove the cleaning blade, turn it 180 degrees and continue to use it. If all 4 cutting edges have scars, the scraper should be replaced with a new one.
In addition, if there is paper dust on the edge card where the cleaning blade is close to the toner cartridge, it will also produce thin black lines on the copy. Just remove the scraps of paper, the fault can be ruled out.
5. copy of the local appear white
This is due to the copier's photosensitive drum surface moisture condensation, so that the drum surface of the local can not be charged adsorption toner, so the local copy can not be developed phenomenon. Please turn on the machine to preheat for about half an hour, and dry the moisture in the copier body before use.
6. copies appear in different shades
The color of the copy is light, you can use the manual concentration button to deepen the copy. If there is still a phenomenon of different shades, it may be that the toner quantity is insufficient, the original color is light, the copy paper is damp, or the non-original substitute toner is used. If it is the failure of the machine components, then you will have to send the copier for repair.
Wiped ink on the surface of the 7. copy
The toner cannot be normally developed in the developing process mainly due to the moisture of the developing roller. Please turn on the machine to preheat for about half an hour, and dry the moisture in the copier body before use.
