Solve the problem according to the cause of paper jam
1. The alignment roller is worn and the driving clutch is damaged
The alignment roller is a hard rubber roller that drives the paper forward after the copier paper is rubbed out of the paper box. It is located on the upper and lower sides of the paper. The wear of the registration roller will slow down the speed of the paper, and the paper will often get stuck in the middle of the paper path. If the alignment roller drive clutch is damaged, the roller cannot rotate and the paper cannot pass. In this case, replace the alignment roller with a new one or deal with it accordingly.
2. Paper path sensor fault
The paper path sensor is mostly located in the separation area, the fuser paper outlet, etc., and uses ultrasonic or photoelectric components to detect the passage of the paper. If the sensor fails, the passage of the paper cannot be detected. When the paper is moving forward, when touching the small lever transported by the sensor, the ultrasonic wave or light is blocked, thus detecting that the paper has passed and issuing instructions for the next procedure. If the small lever rotation failure, it will prevent the paper forward, resulting in paper jam failure, it should check the paper path sensor is correct action.
3. The separation claw is worn
Long-term use of the copier, the machine drum or fixing roller separation claw will be severely worn, resulting in paper jams. In severe cases, the separation claw cannot separate the copy paper from the photosensitive drum or the fixing roller, causing a paper jam when the paper is wound on it. At this point, the application of anhydrous alcohol cleaning the toner on the fixing roller and separation claw, remove the blunt separation claw, with fine sandpaper sharpening sharp, so that the general can continue to use the copier for a period of time. If not, only replace the new separation claw.
4. Fixing pollution
The fixing roller is the driving roller when the copy paper passes through. The toner melted by high temperature during fixing is easy to pollute the surface of the fixing roller (especially when the lubrication is poor and the cleaning is poor), so that the copy paper sticks to the fixing roller. At this time, check whether the roller is clean, whether the cleaning blade is intact, whether the silicone oil supplement is effective, and whether the cleaning paper of the fixing roller is used up. If the fixing roller is contaminated, clean it with absolute alcohol and apply a little silicone oil on the surface. In severe cases, replace the felt pad or cleaning paper.
5. Displacement of outlet baffle
After passing through the above components, the copy paper is output through the outlet baffle to complete a copy process. For long-term use of copiers, the outlet baffle sometimes shifts or deflects, preventing the smooth output of copy paper and causing paper jams. At this time, the outlet baffle should be corrected to make the baffle straight and move freely, and the paper jam phenomenon will be eliminated.
Tips to avoid paper jams
1, choose the good copy paper: the quality of the copy paper on the copier "paper jam rate" and even its service life plays a vital role. Please do not use the following phenomenon of paper:
(a) The same package of paper is uneven in thickness, size or even defect.
(B) The edges of the paper are bristled.
(c) Too much paper wool will leave a layer of white crumbs after shaking on a clean desktop. Copying paper with too much paper hair will cause the paper roller to be too slippery to rub the paper, accelerating the wear of the photosensitive drum and fixing roller, etc.
2. Use the carton evenly: It sounds contradictory to the next one. However, if the two cartons are next to each other, rotation can avoid excessive wear of the pickup system of one paper path.
3, choose the nearest paper box: the closer the paper is to the photosensitive drum, the shorter the distance in the copying process, and the less chance of "paper jam.
4. Shake paper: Shake the paper on a clean desktop and then rub it together repeatedly to reduce paper hair.
5, moisture-proof, anti-static: damp paper in the copier after heating deformation, resulting in "paper jam", double-sided copying is particularly serious. The weather in autumn and winter is dry, which is easy to generate static electricity. Copy paper often sticks together two or three sheets, causing "paper jam". It is recommended to place a humidifier near the copier
6. Self-cleaning: If the "paper jam" phenomenon that copy paper cannot be rubbed often occurs, you can wipe the paper rubbing wheel with a piece of wet absorbent cotton (not too much water).
7. Edge elimination: When copying originals with dark background color, the copies are often fan-shaped and stuck at the paper outlet of the copier. Using the edge elimination function of the copier can reduce the probability of "paper jam.
Regular maintenance: Comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of the copier is the most effective means to ensure the copying effect and reduce "paper jam.
Regular maintenance is also the basic responsibility of the copier warranty unit. If "paper jam" occurs, please pay attention to the following points when taking paper: when taking "paper jam", only the parts allowed to move on the instructions of the copier can be pulled. Take out the whole paper at once as much as possible, taking care not to leave broken pieces of paper in the machine. Do not touch the drum to avoid scratching the drum. If you are sure that all the "paper jam" has been cleared, but the "paper jam" signal is still not lost, you can close the front cover again, or switch the machine power once.
